The Bathroom Remodel Project
Project notes:
Wallpaper-ed for the first time with non-pasted wallpaper. Not as hard as I thought it was going to be. Started off with the idea of just doing one wall, but immediately fell in love with it and decided to do the whole bathroom.
Spray-painted the towel hooks and the cafe curtain rod. My mom and I made the cafe curtain out of scraps from my curtains in the living room.
My grandpa helped me put in my light fixture, which was an ordeal because of having an old house. The electrical is just super dated. He also put in the faucet for me which also ended up being a big ordeal. Long story short, I am very thankful for my grandpa.
The art pieces are super special to me. I sketched the top drawing of my fiancé’s dad. The bottom is my Aunt Lori’s handwriting; a note she wrote for me years ago.
Decorating was super fun. I wanted to bring out the colors in the unique wallpaper, so I chose to accent with green (towels and vase) and yellow (rug).
Now let me show you the process!
The Mood Board
I found the wallpaper from Pinterest, and sourced it from Home Depot. I was nervous to start this project because I had never done wallpaper before, let alone non-pasted wallpaper. I began collecting things like an aged brass hand-towel holder, 3 small brass wall hangings, photo frames, towels, etc. I would always get all of my stuff together and just stare at it, nervous to start the actual project.
